"FEED THE DOG" is a portrait narrative about 12-year-old Clara, who tries to take care of her father in a post-apocalyptic world where she can't trust anyone.

Lasse Gottlieb- DIRECTOR

Lasse Gottlieb is a Danish writer/director who grew up in the countryside of Denmark. He dreams of getting accepted at a film school and works constantly to reach that goal.

He is known for always coming up with new challenging ideas and bringing them to life.

At the moment, Lasse is in early development of a new mini-series, expected to premiere at the end of 2023. And working on a new exciting short film.

directors statement

As a director, I was drawn to the concept of exploring the lengths that a person would go to in order to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. In "FEED THE DOG," we follow a young girl who is forced to make difficult choices in order to keep her zombie father alive.

The film touches on themes of love, sacrifice, and survival as we see the girl struggle to come to terms with the harsh reality of her new world. The relationship between the girl and her undead father is complex, as she must balance her love for him with the necessity of keeping him fed and alive.

Visually, I wanted the film to have a bleak and desolate feel, with a world that has been ravaged by the undead. The use of old lenses and natural lighting helped to create a sense of immediacy, urgency, and grittiness.

The film is ultimately about the lengths that we will go to in order to protect the ones we love and the difficult choices that we must make in order to survive. I hope that viewers will be moved by the story of the young girl and will be left pondering the difficult questions that the film raises.
