DREAMS
EXPERIMENTAL FEATURE
With a dystopian narrative, Dreams is constructed in a context of the struggle for human survival on planet Earth, in which the free will of most human beings is replaced by the “right will” instituted by a small group, and communicated to each individual by a voice generated in an algorithmic system.
Director - Joaquim Pavão
Joaquim Pavão was born on July 30, 1975, in Portugal. Guitarist, composer, and filmmaker. He has played music in Portugal, Spain, and Bulgaria. And has composed for concerts, theaters and for the films "Four Elements" and "(re) Volta e Meia" by Janek Pfeifer, "Sesta" by Olga Roriz, "A nau catrineta" by Artur Correia, and "15 Billion Slices of (-t) + God" by Cláudio Jordan.
As a director he is the author of "Alboi - a corner of the world" (2011), "Fiandeira" (2012), the documentary "Threads of Time" (2013), and “Before evening comes - Antigone talks” 2017, among others. In 2020 he directed his first feature-length film: DREAMS.

Dreams is a cinematographic work created around the sculptures of the collection of the International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture - MIEC.
